Katy ♥ Myles
These two were married in a restaurant/bowling alley/boccie ball gaming facility – and they got rained out. It was so cold, and everything got moved last minute – but it was absolutely beautiful! With a theme of strong natural colors – this wedding is inspirational in all the right places. Congratulations Katy and Myles for being unstoppable on your wedding day!
The Happily Ever After…
Extra Special Wedding Details
The challenge. The couple planned an outdoor wedding but they ended up with a rainy, drizzly and freezing day and made it work! The parents, bridal party, and even the bride & groom sprang into action right after formal photos to bring the ceremony under an awning that protected the outdoor bocce courts at their venue. The seats were wiped, the electronics connected, and a few shots were had.
Personal touches. Katy & Myles wrote their own vows and I even teared up a bit. Bride serenaded everyone with a customized rap for the groom.
The DIY projects. Sign boards and centerpieces were handmade for this wedding.
Tips From The Photographer
♥ Ensure that your venue is on-track for any renovations that they have promised ahead of your big day. If they are running behind or clearly won’t be finished in time for your date, insist on a comped back-up plan. This particular venue had booked out absolutely every other available indoor space and so the couple was forced to remain outside.
