Brett’s band was playing a show at Northampton and who would have thought that the beautiful Christine would come to see them play – that’s how their love story began. That was 11 years to the day of sharing the best years of love as Mr. and Mrs. Freiburger. And you might wonder about the “beer and book” theme, it reflected how they are as individuals so they rocked it on! Read with us as we attest their ultimate love! Enjoy!
Extra Special Details
The Old Harry Potter Books. The tables were decorated by the bride painstakingly hole punched old Harry Potter books with a heart shaped hole punch.
The card box. It was a paper mache gold monster with a top hat next to a sign that said “I eat cards”.
The bride and her father. They danced to Rainbow Connection by Kermit the Frog, a tribute to their shared love of the Muppets.
The food. Delicious glorified comfort food, including short rib sliders, kobe beef hot dogs, a live mac and cheese station, tuna tacos and a Rice Krispie Treat wedding cake were served there.
In lieu of favors. Their guests voted for 3 charities that the couple would donate money to in their name.
From the bride:
“Make sure the day reflects you and your fiance! The planning process should be fun, and if you add touches of who you are as a couple to your big day, whether in the decorations or the ceremony, people will notice and your love will be reflected throughout! Have fun with the process and make sure both people are involved in the decisions. I made sure to check in with my fiance often, he surprised me with which aspects of the wedding he had strong opinions about, and if I hadn’t asked for his input I wouldn’t have known how strongly he cared about the groomsmen wearing Converse or what songs to play at the reception! Things will go wrong. No matter how much you plan you will not plan for every little detail, like your dress getting pooped on by a bird during the first look (that happened!) and a fire alarm going off and having to evacuate the building during cocktail hour (that happened too!). Know that things will go wrong and you have to roll with it, smile, and remember that you’re marrying your best friend and that’s all that matters! Stay positive, you might just get awesome photos with the firemen! “
