If ever you had this concept in mind for your wedding, scroll down now to see some inspiration. Let’s also take it from the bride herself, Krystal, as she shares about the nitty-gritty of their big day!
A Glimpse of the Day
Their Story
Tell us about your wedding! What was the inspiration behind your day? Did you have a specific theme, style or color palette? Did you incorporate any cultural or religious traditions in any part of your day?
We wanted to incorporate space in the theme of our wedding. So with that we went with purple, blue, greens.
Let’s talk wedding decor. How did you decorate your space for the ceremony and the reception? Was any part of the decor DIY?
We didn’t want to take away from the inspiration that Kennedy Space Center could invoke, so we went with just flowers and other simple things.
What were the florals like in your wedding? Did you use flowers in any of your design elements like the bridal bouquets, centerpieces or ceremony backdrop? Did they play an important part in the overall style of your wedding?
Emma’s Flowers did such a fantastic job. We mostly went with purple and blue flowers and wanted to make them look like galaxies. She made the bouquets for the girls, broches for the guys and the centerpieces. She made us a keepsake flower out of paper to keep after. The flowers were really special.
Did you personalize the day in any way (food trucks, guest entertainment etc.)? What were some of your favorite parts of your wedding?
We hired a professional poet to write custom live poetry during our wedding.
Let’s talk fashion. How did you both choose your wedding day look? Describe the looks in detail.
David wore a classic black James Bond Tuxedo. Krystal found the perfect ball gown wedding dress encrusted with pearls and sparkles.
How did you meet? Tell us about the proposal.
We met through a mutual friend online. David proposed on the back porch of our condo due to his plans getting rained out.
What was the most anticipated or special moment of your wedding day?
The party and seeing it all come together. Friends and family enjoying the time and effort we put forward to make KSC look magical.
Do you have any wedding planning or marriage advice that you’d like to share with other couples planning their day?
The day is about each other. If it doesn’t go to plan it’s ok, as long as you both had a blast.
