This estate wedding that is just the epitome of elegance but not to the point where things start to look so stiff and so refined because this event still had quite a few sweet and DIY details to boot such as chalkboards and Polaroid stations. I also love the mismatched jewel colored bridesmaids dresses. The cake was also something to look forward to as it is beautiful in all it’s simplicity. And our bride was glowing in her amazing A-line wedding gown. Congratulations on such a wonderful day Philana & Jake!

What is the overall story for this album?
Family and friends. There were tons of heartfelt hugs and laughs.
What was your favorite part of the day?
Early part of the reception on the back porch. Bride and Groom’s friends asked same set of trivia questions to bride and groom separately and wrote down their answers on white boards. The questions and answers were revealed one by one and the everyone had a good laugh.
Was there any Do it Yourself (DIY) projects? If so, can you describe them in detail?
Lots of chalkboards and frames. Framed chalkboards for guests seating info & polaroid station, assorted small chalkboards for gifts and guest signing station, and square framed table numbers.
What were the highlights from the ceremony & reception?
End of the ceremony in the garden and early part of the reception around the back porch. They are a funny and theatrical couple. At the end of the ceremony, they jumped high in front of their guests. Also, I liked that wedding party were mixed and called “groom’s people” and “bride’s people” instead of standard groomsmen and bridesmaids.
