The traditional guestbook is something many brides cherish, but others simply don’t care for. Luckily, there are plenty of alternatives to that kind of guestbook and plenty of ways to remember the friends and family that showed up for your special day. One such way is with guest photos and a designated photographer.
Create a Backdrop
Using clothesline or twine and an attractive sheet or piece of fabric, create a beautiful backdrop for your guests to be photographed in front of. You can choose anything here; something that matches your wedding theme or just something you find attractive.
Enlisting Help
You’ll need a volunteer photographer who can take pictures of guests as they arrive at your wedding. It doesn’t need to be a professional photographer, just someone who can point and shoot. As guest arrive, your photographer will ask them for a picture and direct them where to stand before taking a few shots of the couple. They can then sign any guestbook you might have available or simply go on in to the wedding.
Picture Collections
After the wedding, the photographs can be printed and added to a beautiful wedding album as a keepsake for the bride and groom. This allows them to go back and remember the wonderful family and friends who showed up to celebrate with them and enjoy their special day.
There are many other alternatives to the traditional guestbook if you use your creativity and imagination. Anything that allows the bride and groom a sentimental keepsake of their guests is a wonderful idea.

I love this idea! I’ve seen people do this with polaroid instant cameras also…. Very cool!
