The wedding planning process is full of tough choices, regardless of how large or small the wedding will be. Here are some tips to help you choose the best vendors for your wedding day, which can help ensure the planning process (and the big day!) runs as smoothly as possible.
At some point during the wedding planning process, every couple wonders how to choose the best vendors for the wedding day. The right vendors can make all the difference in the planning process, not to mention how the wedding event pans out. If you want to choose the best vendors for your wedding day, use the following tips:
Ask for referrals—Hands down, this is one of the best ways to choose the best vendors for your wedding day. Brides love to talk about their wedding day, and if they were happy with their flowers, food, or pictures, they’ll love to tell you which professional they used and why. Talk to your friends, other brides at the bridal shop, and any bridal consultants who can point you in the right direction to find the highest quality vendors for your special day. Compared to other search methods, word of mouth is often a reliable source for choosing the best vendors for your wedding day.
Talk to your local bridal boutique—Your local bridal shops are often your first-stop shops for all bridal sources and bridal-related needs. Bridal shops typically cater to brides’ needs by having bridal magazines, local vendor guides, and more on hand in the store. Inquire about service pamphlets and any materials they have that can help you find services in your area. Services that the local stores champion are typically trusted in the community and are worth checking out.
Visit bridal shows—Attending local bridal shows gives you the chance to meet a variety of vendors face to face. They are typically there contributing to the show in some way or providing hands on demonstrations of their services. If you want to see their work firsthand and chat with them for a few minutes to see if they’re a fit for your wedding day, a bridal show is the perfect place to do it. Keep this important tip in mind when choosing the best vendors for your wedding day.

I got a great tip when I was planning my wedding. Take the word “wedding” off of searches when looking for vendors online. You might find better prices. I found this to be true for myself. For instance, replace it with “event” or “party” for flowers, photographers, etc. Wedding vendors tend to price higher because brides will often pay, but also because the price range is higher within the industry. I hope my tip helps!
